NYPD searching for missing Cipriani head chef after he fails to show up for work

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The head chef of the Grand Central Terminal outpost of the famed Cipriani group of restaurants has gone missing, the NYPD said Wednesday.

Andrea Zamperoni was reported missing on Monday when he did not show up for work at Cipriani Dolci.

Zamperoni, 33, was last seen Monday leaving his home in Elmhurst, Queens, around noon.

A native of Italy who recently moved to New York, Zamperoni reportedly has worked for the Cipriani chain since 2008. 

He is described as 5'11" tall, 200 pounds; it is unclear what he was last seen wearing.
