NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Joe Rogan, the brash UFC commentator and podcast host, has tested positive for COVID-19, he announced Wednesday afternoon.
“I got back from the road Saturday night feeling very weary," Rogan, who has not disclosed if he is vaccinated, said in a video posted to Instagram. "I had a headache. I felt just run down."
He said that his symptoms persisted, and the following day he tested positive for the virus.
Rogan, 54, also said he was taking a handful of medicines. “We immediately threw the kitchen sink at it — all kinds of meds: monoclonal antibodies, ivermectin, Z-Pak, prednisone, everything. And I also got an NAD drip, a vitamin drip, and I did that three days in a row."
He added, "And so, here are on Wednesday, and I feel great. I really only had one bad day. Sunday sucked … Today I feel good. I actually feel pretty fuckin’ good.”
Ivermectin is an unproven treatment for COVID-19 that anti-vaxxers claim cures people of the virus. The CDC, however, warns it is "not authorized or approved by FDA for prevention or treatment of COVID-19.”
Rogan has famously expressed his doubts about the vaccine, but walked back some of his comments in April saying that young Americans can skip getting vaccinated.
