Cannon, 41, made the announcement during the 11 a.m. taping of his show "The Nick Cannon Show," which is taped at NEP Metropolis Studios in East Harlem.

Model Alyssa Scott is Zen's mother.

Cannon said Zen, the youngest of his 7 children, took a turn for the worse around Thanksgiving and the tumor began to grow quickly, reported TMZ.

Cannon told the audience that he spent last weekend in California with Zen, including a Sunday trip to the Pacific Ocean where he held the infant for the last time.
