
WYANDANCH, N.Y. (WCBS 880) — A gunman fired into a parked vehicle on Long Island early Tuesday morning, striking a woman, according to authorities.

Officials said a 28-year-old woman and another passenger were sitting in the car at about 2 a.m. in Wyandanch, when they were approached by a man who fired one shot through the passenger side window.
The victim was struck in the leg and the other passenger was not injured, police said.
It wasn’t immediately clear if investigators believe the victim knew the shooter.
An investigation is ongoing.
