
NORTH BAY SHORE, N.Y. (1010 WINS) — A 17-year-old boy was shot and another boy was grazed in a Long Island shooting early Saturday morning, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.
The teenager and his friend were standing on the corner of Pine Acres Boulevard and Benton Place in North Bay Shore around 12:10 a.m. when an unidentified shooter opened fire on them, officials said.
One victim was reportedly hit twice and the other was grazed.
Emergency responders brought the boy who was directly hit to a local hospital. Police do not believe his injuries are life-threatening. The other boy refused medical attention on the scene.
Police have not yet made any arrests, and an investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
