
WOODBRIDGE, N.J. (1010 WINS) – Authorities launched an investigation after two people died in an apparent murder-suicide in New Jersey on Wednesday, the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office announced.
Just after 4:30 p.m., police responded to a home on Soren Street in Woodbridge after receiving a 911 call about a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers found a woman lying unresponsive on the front lawn with a gunshot wound.
Police later found a second person.
The relationship between the two remains unknown.
"At this stage of the investigation and based upon what is known to law enforcement at this point, the incident is being investigated as a murder/suicide," Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said. "Authorities have determined that there is no threat to the public."
