Cuomo resigned in August after months of battling allegations of sexual harassment from 11 women and the revelation that his administration covered up mass COVID-19 deaths in nursing homes.

A 30-second ad will air Monday and focus on rehabilitating his reputation as a serial sexual harasser.

A leaked clip shows that the ad is comprised of cherry-picked television clips designed to make Cuomo seem like an innocent victim of a political smear job.

The ad highlights the decisions of five district attorneys not to press criminal charges, according to the New York Post, which viewed the spot.

It fails to mention that the DAs said their investigations found the accusations to be credible. One DA said his decision not to press charges was specifically "not an exoneration."

A report from Attorney General Letitia James also found the accusations to be credible, and a state trooper who says Cuomo sexually harassed her is currently suing him.

“We’ve produced a number of ads and haven’t decided what we’re going to run yet,” said Cuomo spokesman Rich Azzopardi in a statement.

It’s unclear whether Cuomo plans to run for office again, but the New York Daily News reported Cuomo has spent $2 million in campaign funds since his resignation and still has $16 million left.

In a Tweet, Congresswoman Elise Stefanik described the leaked clip as “desperately deranged,” and said “Cuomo should be behind bars, not on our TV screens.”
