LAKEWOOD, N.J. (1010 WINS) — The photo sparked outrage and hundreds of memes, and now the image of former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie lounging on a closed beach has inspired a new beer.

Icarus Brewing Co., of Lakewood, has launched a new microbrew featuring a cartoon recreation of the 2017 Fourth of July photo showing Christie relaxing on a beach, just days after he closed all state parks to the public.

The image, which was captured by NJ.com photographer Andy Mills, sparked outraged among New Jersey residents, who were shut out of beaches during the holiday weekend, and then inspired a slew of memes online.
“We know sometimes beach access is hard to come by. To ensure you're not completely shut out, we canned up a Brand New American Blonde Ale: Private Beach,” the brewing company wrote on Facebook.
The beer is described as an “American Blonde Ale brewed with American 2 Row Barley, lightly hopped with Citra then delicately Dry Hopped with New Zealand Motueka.”
It is 4.1% alcohol by volume, according to the brewery.
Private Beach was introduced just ahead of Labor Day Weekend and sold out by Sept. 5, Icarus Brewing said.
It remains unclear if the company plans to restock the product any time soon.
The company is located in Lakewood Industrial Park and accepts online orders, making deliveries to 14 of New Jersey’s 21 counties.
