
POINT LOOKOUT, N.Y. (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- Two teens on jet skis collided off Long Island on Sunday afternoon, leaving one of them with a compound fracture, Nassau County police said.
The two boys, ages 16 and 15, were riding jet skis in the Jones Inlet off Point Lookout around 12:45 p.m. when they crashed into each other.
The 16-year-old suffered a compound fracture to his leg in the collision.
First responders and the U.S. Coast Guard located the teen and brought him to West Marina in Point Lookout, where he was transported by Nassau police helicopter in stable condition to a hospital.
The 15-year-old was not injured in the crash, according to police.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
