Juvenile arrested for sexually assaulting woman, 68, in NJ home burglary

SAYERVILLE, N.J. (WCBS 880) -- Police arrested a juvenile after he allegedly with burglarizing and sexually assaulting a 68-year-old woman at her New Jersey residence early Monday, authorities said.

According to officials, the attacker entered the woman’s apartment located on Swider Drive in Sayreville at approximately 12:30 a.m., woke her up and “sexually assaulted, and deprived her of belongings before fleeing the scene,” according to a release from Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone.

The boy, whose name was not released because of his age, was charged with juvenile delinquency offenses for crimes which if committed by an adult would be charged as aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, burglary and theft, Ciccone said.
