NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A Suffolk County man was arrested Sunday after he allegedly threw rocks through two bus windows.

Edward Wisneski, 19, was charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree reckless endangerment and two counts of second-degree criminal mischief for the April 16 incidents.

The first incident happened at 8:30 a.m., when Wisneski hurled a rock at a Regency Transportation charter bus parked on Southern Boulevard in Nesconset, striking and cracking the windshield while the driver sat behind the wheel, police said.

Less than an hour later, police said he threw a rock at a Suffolk County Transit bus traveling north on Route 111 in the Village of the Branch at 9:24 a.m., sending the rock through the windshield and breaking a glass partition inside the cab.

Police said in both instances, Wisneski threw the rock from a moving vehicle and believe he acted alone.

Anyone who has been victimized by a similar incident is asked to contact Fourth Squad detectives at 631-854-8451.
