
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man was arrested early Sunday after a drunk driving crash killed a pedestrian on Long Island, authorities said.

Around 1:30 a.m., a woman was walking on Johnson Avenue between Pine and Ocean Avenues in Ronkonkoma when 23-year-old Wade Gagliano allegedly struck her with his Lexus SUV, police said.
Gagliano did not stop after hitting the woman, who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to officials.
The name and age of the victim were not immediately released.
Suffolk County Police later located Gagliano and arrested him. He was charged with leaving the scene of an incident resulting in death and driving while intoxicated.
