JERICHO, N.Y. (1010 WINS) — A 29-year-old man has been charged after he attacked his friend and her son inside the then-10-year-old's Long Island bedroom last year.

According to police, the woman entered the Second Precinct stationhouse in Woodbury to report the June 27, 2021, violent incident.
She told detectives that she entered her son's bedroom after hearing a disturbance and discovered her friend Harshdeep "Harry" Brar had his arm around her son's neck.
When the mother attempted to intervene, Brar started punching her son and hitting her. Brar departed the house after the incident.
Following a thorough investigation, the Nassau County Police said Thursday that Brar is charged with criminal obstruction of breathing, strangulation, assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
He was due to be arraigned Thursday in First District Court in Hempstead.
