2 firefighters, 8 others hurt when fire truck crashes in Brooklyn: FDNY

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Two firefighters and eight other people were hospitalized with minor injuries after a fire truck got into a crash in Brooklyn on Friday, authorities said.

The Ladder 104 FDNY truck collided with another vehicle while it was responding to a fire at South 5th Street and Driggs Avenue in Williamsburg around 2:40 p.m. on Friday, the department said.

Two firefighters and eight civilians were taken to nearby hospitals with non-life threatening injuries, the FDNY said.

The department didn’t immediately provide any additional information about the crash.
