NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A Queens mother was charged with murder on Friday after her twin babies were found dead inside an apartment on Thursday afternoon, the NYPD said.

Danezja Kilpatrick, 23, was questioned at the 114th Precinct overnight and charged on Friday with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of second-degree murder, acting in a manner injurious to a child, and criminal possession of a weapon.

The babies, a boy and a girl, were found dead inside an apartment at the Woodside Houses on 51st Street in Woodside around 3 p.m. after a cousin of the family who was worried about the children called 911, police said.

The babies were later identified as Dallis and Dakota Bentley, both six weeks old.

One child was found inside a crib with possible stab wounds, while the other child was found wrapped in a blanket under the kitchen sink, police said.

A medical examiner's autopsy will determine how they died.
