NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Two people were injured in a three-alarm fire that broke out in the Bronx Tuesday.

Fire officials responded to the blaze just before 8 p.m. on Mead Street in Van Nest.

According to an FDNY tweet, two people were injured due to the fire, but suffered injuries not considered life-threatening.

Officials said the fire had spread to at least three buildings on the street.

Videos from the Citizen App show the damage and the towering flames that shot out of one of the buildings.

Citizen reported that firefighters said searches for injuries and extensions in the original building of the fire were negative.
