2 men rob Brooklyn supermarket of $5K in cash

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is searching for two men wanted for robbing a Brooklyn supermarket on Monday evening, making away with thousands in cash.

Around 5:10 p.m., the two robbers entered an Associated Supermarket at 52 Arlington Avenue in Cypress Hills, police said.

The men took out a gun and stole about $5,000 cash from the registers’ drawers before fleeing the scene, according to officials.

No injuries were reported as a result.

Both men are described as having medium skin complexions, medium builds and last seen wearing all black clothing.
