NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 19-year-old man from New Jersey was shot and killed in the Rockaways on Friday afternoon, police said Saturday as they released video of two men they’re searching for in connection with the shooting.
Angel Caraballo, of Jersey City, was shot on Beach 59th Street, near Larkin Avenue, in the Arverne neighborhood around 1 p.m.
Officers responding to a 911 call found Caraballo with a gunshot wound to his body.
EMS rushed him to St. John’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The NYPD released surveillance video Saturday showing two men running down a stairwell. Police described them as persons of interest in the shooting.
No arrests had been reported as of Saturday.
