
NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Police are searching for two suspects who they say hurled anti-LGBTQ insults at two men and then punched and shoved them near Union Square Park.
The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force released images of the pair Thursday as they investigate the June 28 attack.
The two victims, both 23, were sitting on a bench at East 13th Street and Broadway at 8 p.m. when the duo walked up and got into a dispute with them.
The suspects made anti-LGBTQ remarks and then went on the attack, punching and shoving both victims, according to cops.
They were last seen fleeing northbound on Broadway towards East 14th Street.
The victims declined medical attention at the scene.
