NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Two teen boys were shot in separate shootings in Manhattan and Brooklyn Thursday afternoon, authorities said.

The first incident happened around noon when a 14-year-old boy was struck in the right leg by a bullet while standing in front of Transfiguration Lutheran Church on 126th Street near Lenox Boulevard, police said.

After the shooting, two suspects fled in an unknown direction. Cops said it was not immediately clear if the victim was the intended target. A shell casing was recovered at the scene.

A 17-year-old boy was shot about an hour later in Brooklyn, according to officials.

The shooting happened on Sutter Avenue near Crescent Street in East New York. The teen was shot in the chest and leg, the NYPD said.

Emergency responder transported the boy to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition.
