The three-alarm fire broke out just after 4 a.m. at a two-story home on E. 9th Street, near Forest Avenue, in Midwood, according to the FDNY.

Nearly 140 firefighters and EMTs responded to the scene. Citizen App video shows flames shooting out of a second-floor window and heavy smoke in the area.

Firefighters encountered “heavy clutter conditions” and a partial collapse in the rear of the building, with the second floor collapsing onto the first floor, the FDNY said.
