3 killed, at least 12 hurt in shootings across NYC on Tuesday: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 23-year-old woman sitting in a car in the Bronx was among three people shot and killed in Brooklyn and The Bronx on Tuesday, the NYPD said.

Police responded to a 911 call near the intersection of Sheridan Avenue and McClellan Street in Concourse at approximately 8:45 p.m. where officers observed Sally Y. Ntim with a gunshot wound to the head.

EMS transported Ntim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln where she was pronounced dead.

A preliminary investigation determined that the victim was sitting inside of a parked vehicle at the corner of the location when the gunman opened fire on the car - apparently trying to hit the person sitting next to her.

No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing at this time.

Police are also investigating a triple shooting that happened earlier that day in Brooklyn.

The incident happened just before 4:30 p.m. in front of NYCHA’s Armstrong complex located on Gates Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, authorities said.

A 43-year-old man was struck by a bullet in his lower back, a 41-year-old man was grazed in his right arm, and a 26-year-old man suffered an injury to his left leg, according to the NYPD.

The victims were transported to Kings County Hospital in stable condition.

At around 7 p.m., a 15-year-old girl was struck in the leg in front of her home on Laconia Avenue in Edenwald, officials said.

The teen was taken to Jacobi Hospital in stable condition, cops said.

Police are investigating what led to the attack, and continue to search for the shooter.

At approximately 7:45 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of shots fired near the intersection of East 180 Street and Mohegan Avenue in Crotona where officers observed three men with gunshot wounds.

A 47-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the right leg and a 21-year-old male suffered a gunshot wound to the left leg.

EMS responded and transported the aforementioned two victims to Saint Barnabas Medical Center in stable condition.

Another man, identified as 22-year-old Wayne Goodwin also suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Saint Barnabas Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.

At approximately 10 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of shots fired at 2825 Olinville Avenue in Allerton, where officers observed four victims with gunshot wounds.

According to the NYPD, 21-year-old Jessie Bynum suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead.

A 33-year-old woman suffered a gunshot wound to the right arm, a 23-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the right thigh and a 22-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the back.

EMS transported all of the victims to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi in stable condition.

No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing at this time.
