NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Three women were killed when an alleged drunk driver slammed into their car Saturday night in New Hyde Park, according to police.

The women were leaving a sweet 16 party at a catering hall called The Inn when a Mercedes-Benz struck their Lincoln Town Car on the eastbound side of the Jericho Turnpike around 11:11 p.m., the New York Post reported.

The three women were pronounced dead on the scene.

Dante Lennon, the 22-year-old driver of the Benz, was arrested and charged with vehicular manslaughter, vehicular assault and driving while intoxicated, authorities said.

He was taken to a nearby hospital and is expected to survive, according to police.
