3 killed when car crashes into tree, bursts into flames in Brooklyn

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Authorities are investigating after three people were killed in a fiery crash in Brooklyn on Sunday morning, police said.

The collision happened at around 7:45 a.m. at 65th Street and Fourth Avenue near the Belt Parkway in Bay Ridge, officials said.

The vehicle struck a tree then burst into flames, leaving three adult passengers trapped inside, police said.

The victims were pronounced dead at the scene. A fourth passenger refused medical attention at the scene, the FDNY said.

An investigation remains ongoing.
