3 people, dog rescued from East River in Queens: officials

NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — Officials rescued three people and a dog out of the East River in Queens Wednesday morning, according to the FDNY.

According to authorities, they were spotted in the water near Socrates Sculpture Park in Astoria about at 8:15 a.m.

Marine and land rescue units rushed to pull the people and dog to shore near Vernon Boulevard and 31st Drive, authorities said.

All three people rescued from the water refused medical attention, the FDNY said.
