The four victims—all men in their 20s—were shot just before midnight on W. 116th Street, near Frederick Douglass Boulevard.

The men were all shot in their legs and are expected to survive, police said.

Investigators worked the block into the morning, with police tape spanning a crime scene littered with shell casings.

The gun violence followed a 1:30 p.m. shooting just blocks away at W. 125th Street and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard. A 20-year-old man was shot in the leg, while a 48-year-old woman was caught in the crossfire and wounded. Both are expected to survive.

Four people were also shot in Ozone Park, Queens, around 6:30 p.m. Two teens and two men—all bystanders—were struck at London Planetree Playground at 88th Street and Atlantic Avenue.

Sam Esposito, of the Ozone Park Block Association, said it was a chaotic scene at the playground.

“The kids were crying. The parents were crying. We were trying to calm the kids down, because the kids actually witnessed people getting shot in front of them,” Esposito said.

All of the victims, including a 15-year-old girl and 16-year-old boy, are expected to survive.

No arrests have been reported in any of the shootings.
