Prosecutors accused Olmedo Osorio of stabbing Freddy Jimenez to death after an argument at a bus stop near the intersection of 69th Street and Roosevelt Avenue in Maspeth around 2:40 a.m.

Osorio allegedly fled the scene. Police later recovered a knife from his backyard.

“The defendant fatally stabbed the victim following a late-night dispute outside of a local bar,” said Katz. “An argument should never escalate to such brutal acts of violence.”

Prosecutors charged Osorio with murder and criminal weapon possession.

He faces 25 years-to-life in prison if convicted.

His next court date is scheduled for Sept. 26.
