The Queens man, 34-year-old Gabriel Anthony, and three co-conspirators—Fa Deng, 42, of Staten Island and Albert Ferrelli, 50, and Chiahao Lee, 30, both of Queens—carried out the kidnapping on April 5.

The group drove to the victim’s Fort Lee home where Ferrelli and Anthony entered wearing masks. They then bound the victim’s hands and covered his eyes and mouth with duct tape before forcing him into their vehicle.

Authorities said the victim’s wife received a photo of her husband bound and duct taped from the kidnappers demanding $680,000.

Surveillance footage from the area of the victim’s home showed a gray minivan being used for the abduction which was later caught on video crossing the George Washington Bridge into the Bronx and then to Queens.

Officials traced the vehicle to Lee’s home in Queens where NYPD officers responded the next day. Officers found Ferrelli guarding the door and heard a man screaming for help inside of the building.

When police entered the building, they found the victim with his hands bound and duct tape over his eyes and mouth. The minivan seen on surveillance footage, which was rented by Lee’s wife the day before the kidnapping from LaGuardia Airport, was in the home’s driveway.

The four men were all charged with conspiring to commit kidnapping which carries a maximum sentence of life in prison.
