NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a group of eight suspects wanted in connection to a shooting on a Brooklyn street over the weekend, according to authorities.
It happened in front of 2417 Mermaid Avenue in Coney Island at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 29, when two groups of four approached each other, officials said.
Approximately five suspects displayed and discharged firearms at the location, the NYPD said.
There were approximately 36 rounds discharged, causing property damage only, cops said.
One group fled into 2926 West 25 Street. The second group fled eastbound on Mermaid Avenue to parts unknown.
There were no injuries incurred as a result of the incident.
Police released footage of five of the eight suspects sought.
