
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — May showers are a couple days early this year. Rain, gusty winds and below-average temperatures will continue in New York through Sunday night.
Rain arrived from the south Friday afternoon and will likely continue until early Sunday morning, according to forecasters. After brief respite in the morning, the rain should pick back up again around 9 a.m. on Sunday.
With the rain and increased wind, temperatures should hover in the low to mid 50s Saturday.

Travel will be slow with localized flooding on streets and highways, including some coastal flooding.


Sunday night will be cloudy and windy, with rain returning in the afternoon and lasting through the night. AccuWeather predicts that some of the rain may be heavy, resulting in more street and highway flooding.

Also, a round of coastal flooding is possible at high tide. The high is near 60 and low is 49.
The rain will finally abate on Monday, which will be windy and dry with a chance for partial sun at times. The high is 64.
