NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are seeking an armed robbery crew that struck four times in Brooklyn and Staten Island this month, including three times in a single day.
Their most recent robbery happened Dec. 17 around 4:50 a.m. at 77th Street and 16th Avenue in Bensonhurst.
A 26-year-old victim was approached by the suspects in front of a home. The individuals attempted to forcibly remove his cellphone from his hand, and then displayed firearms and attempted to enter the residence. No property was removed, and they fled in a dark-colored vehicle. No injuries were reported.
Police released video Thursday of the latest robbery attack, which shows the men approaching the residence with two of them brandishing firearms at the victim.
Before that, police said the same four men were behind three separate robberies or attempted robberies over the span of 15 hours on Dec. 8.
Just before 3 a.m., a 34-year-old man was approached by the suspects in front of a home in the vicinity of 54th Street and 7th Avenue in Sunset Park. The suspects displayed firearms and entered the residence. The individuals did not remove any property and fled in their vehicle. No injuries were reported.
Nearly 20 minutes later, the same men struck the same area. A 27-year-old victim was attempting to start his car when a dark gray Honda Pilot blocked it in. The suspects removed the victim from his vehicle at gunpoint. The individuals then fled in the two vehicles, leaving the victim behind. No injuries were reported.
At 6:40 p.m., police said the same men targeted a 42-year-old victim who was attempting to start his car. A dark-colored vehicle blocked his vehicle in at Pulaski Avenue and Hooker Place in Elm Park. The victim was pistol-whipped after the men attempted to remove him from his car at gunpoint.
The individuals then fled in only the vehicle they had pulled up in. The victim refused medical attention.
