NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police have arrested a 41-year-old man for shooting a 51-year-old woman in her Ozone Park home on Wednesday.
Authorities believe Giuseppe Canzani knocked on the door of Anna Torres around 2:30 p.m. and shot her three times when she answered.
The shooter then fled in his car, according to police.
The NYPD said he left his gun on the sidewalk before officers arrested him Wednesday evening.
Sources told 1010 WINS that the victim was a fortune teller who ran a tarot card business out of her home. The suspect is one of her clients, and the two had some sort of dispute, according to the sources.
Torres' son is an NYPD officer, but police said that had nothing to do with the shooting.
Canzani faces charges of murder and criminal possession of a firearm.
