NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting a reputed gang leader on Staten Island last November.
Diron Miller, 29, is charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon in the slaying of John Pena Sr., 53, police said Wednesday.
Pena, of Philadelphia, was shot multiple times in the chest on Broad Street near Cedar Street in Stapleton on Nov. 28 around 5:30 p.m.
He died after he was rushed to Richmond University Medical Center.
According to a source who spoke to SiLive.com, Pena, whose son is currently charged with two murders, one of which occurred in Stapleton where the 53-year-old was shot, was the intended victim.
The two suspects allegedly started an argument with Pena before the shooting.
A second suspect remains at large.
