The performance, originally scheduled for Jan. 14, will be moved to Aug. 24, Joel’s team said in a press release.

“Nothing is more important to me than the safety and well-being of my band, crew, and the fans; so due to unfortunate COVID-related circumstances, we made the decision to reschedule the January 14th concert at MSG,” Joel said.

The 72-year-old musician returned to The Garden on Nov. 5, after canceling months of performances amid the coronavirus pandemic. His most recent show was held on Dec. 20.

Tickets purchased for the Jan. 14 show will be valid for the new rescheduled date and will not need to be exchanged, according to Joel’s team.

Those who cannot commit to the rescheduled date can request a ticket refund at anytime during the next 30 days, beginning Wednesday.

Only tickets purchased directly through Ticketmaster or the Madison Square Garden Box Office are eligible for a refund.
