NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 16-year-old boy was arrested Tuesday for a Brooklyn shooting that injured a 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl, according to police.

The suspect, who police did not name due to his age, was walking with a friend on Franklin Avenue near Eastern Parkway, when the two teenagers got in an argument with a 16-year-old boy on May 31.

One of the boys reportedly slapped the victim in the face and the other pulled out a gun.

Seeing the weapon, the 17-year-old boy ran, but the 16-year-old allegedly opened fire, hitting him in the left arm.

A 16-year-old girl who was in Wise Deli and Grill nearby was hit in the right leg by a stray bullet.

Emergency responders took both victims to Kings County Hospital Center in stable condition.

The teenage suspect was charged with two counts of attempted murder.
