Boys beaten, stabbed near Queens high school; 5 teens sought

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Police are searching for five teens after two boys were beaten and stabbed in broad daylight near a Queens high school this week.

The NYPD released surveillance images Wednesday of the five boys they’re searching for in Tuesday morning’s assault in Flushing. They’re believed to be between 14 and 17 years old.

The two victims, both 17 years old, were walking at the corner of 34th Avenue and Parsons Boulevard shortly after 9 a.m. when they got into an argument with the five other boys, according to police.

The groupfollowed the pair before kicking, punching and stabbing them repeatedly, according to police.

One of the boys suffered stab wounds throughout his body. He was transported in stable condition to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital.

The second boy suffered a stab wound to his right hip. He was taken in stable condition to Flushing Hospital Medical Center.

The stabbing happened about a block away from Flushing High School, though it’s unclear if the victims or their attackers are students at the school.
