
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 55-year-old employee was killed in a hit-and-run that occurred at a Bronx carwash early Sunday morning, authorities said.
The crash happened just before 5:30 a.m. at a carwash located at 1181 Webster Ave. in Morrisania when the worker and an occupied sedan were struck by an SUV, officials said.
The employee was rushed to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the sedan was also hospitalized with minor injuries.
Two women in the SUV also fled the scene on foot after the crash, police said.
There have been no arrests made, and an investigation remains ongoing.
