NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A would-be thief stabbed a Bronx laundromat worker and then a customer as he tried to steal a cash register from the business last week, police said Wednesday.

The NYPD released video showing the suspect and what appears to be a bloodied victim on the floor of the laundromat in the attack early last Friday morning.
Police said the suspect entered a laundromat at Boston Road and Yates Avenue in Laconia around 3 a.m. and tried to take the register.

He stabbed a 37-year-old worker multiple times in her head, face and body, police said.
He then stabbed a 45-year-old customer in his hand before fleeing the store empty-handed, according to police.
EMS transported the worker and customer to Jacobi Medical Center, where both of them were listed in stable condition.
