NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A female NYPD officer from the 52nd Precinct’s public safety team in the Bronx is being investigated for ties to the “Shooting Boys” gang.

Federal prosecutors charged ten alleged members of the gang for murder, drug and firearms offenses on Thursday.
Both NBC New York and the New York Post cite anonymous police sources for the information they obtained about the investigation, but neither name the officer who is being probed.
The officer has been placed on modified duty while investigators determine if she provided any sensitive police information to gang members.
She has not been charged with a crime.
