Bronx shooting, Brooklyn stabbing leave 2 dead overnight

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A shooting in the Bronx and a stabbing in Brooklyn left two men dead overnight, police said Sunday.

The homicides happened over the course of about two hours early Sunday morning, according to police.

A 45-year-old man was stabbed on Foster Avenue in the Flatbush Gardens apartment complex in East Flatbush shortly before 2 a.m.

Police said the unidentified victim was stabbed in the chest. He was rushed to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been reported in the stabbing.

About two hours later, a 22-year-old man was fatally shot on E. 172nd Street, near Seabury Place, in the Crotona section of the Bronx shortly after 4 a.m.

Police said the victim, identified as Mamadou Bah of the Bronx, had been shot multiple times in the body and arm. He was pronounced dead at St. Barnabas Hospital.

A 27-year-old man was also wounded in the shooting, police said. He suffered a gunshot wound to his buttocks and was in stable condition at the same hospital.

Police said no arrests have been made in the shooting.
