
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A Brooklyn deli owner was stabbed and punched by a man and woman as he confronted them for stealing a Snapple last week, police said Wednesday.
The NYPD released new surveillance images of the two suspects as the search for them continued.
The pair walked into Bedford Deli at Bedford and Parkside avenues in Prospect Lefferts Gardens on the evening of Jan. 16 and grabbed a Snapple without paying for it, police said.
When the 44-year-old owner confronted them, the man whipped out a knife and stabbed the owner in the back as the woman repeatedly punched him in the face.
The suspects were last seen fleeing on Bedford Avenue, police said.
The victim was transported in stable condition to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County.
