NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Wednesday arrested a high school cafeteria worker accused of punching a 16-year-old student during a dispute that occurred earlier this week, authorities said.

Josette Sandy, 59, was arrested just after 10:30 a.m. after the student reported that he had been punched in the head inside Clara Barton High School located at 901 Classon Avenue in Crown Heights, officials said.

Sandy was charged with assault and harassment, according to the NYPD.

The attack happened during an argument between Sandy and the student, police said.

The teen complained of pain and was taken to the Kings County Hospital Center but suffered no serious injuries, police said.

The events leading up to the alleged assault remain unclear.
