NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A Brooklyn man was arrested for participating in the deadly Capitol siege after a college classmate recognized him in a screen grab of a live stream the New York Post tweeted out, prosecutors say.

Anton Lunyk, 26, was arrested at his home in Brooklyn Tuesday morning, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York said.

Prosecutors say a MAGA hat-wearing Lunyk was one of hundreds of supporters of former President Donald Trump who stormed the Capitol building in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 6.

Days before the riot, Lunyk posted an Instagram photo of himself wearing his MAGA hat with the caption, “This is going to be an interesting next few weeks … who else is going to DC this week?” according to prosecutors.

On Jan. 6, Lunyk was spotted on a live stream far-right media personality Tim Gionet, known as “Baked Alaska,” filmed inside the Capitol building, prosecutors said.

Lunyk’s college classmate sent an online tip to the FBI after recognizing him in a screen grab of the live stream the New York Post tweeted out on Jan. 7, according to prosecutors.

The screengrab accompanied an article entitled: “Far-right streamer ‘Baked Alaska’ stormed Capitol while COVID-19 positive,” prosecutors said.

Lunyk was also spotted on surveillance footage taken from inside the Capitol building, according to prosecutors.

His attorney information wasn’t immediately available Tuesday.
