NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A Brooklyn teacher was arrested for shoving a 13-year-old girl into a bookshelf in his classroom Monday, according to police.

The student was retrieving an iPad in his classroom when teacher Joshua Kahn got mad at her around 1 p.m. at Public School 295 on 19th Street near Sixth Avenue in South Slope, officials said.

He allegedly shoved her multiple times, causing her to fall backward into a bookshelf.

She reportedly suffered bruising and was brought to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in stable condition for treatment.

Kahn was arrested later that day and charged with assault, endangering the welfare of a child and harassment.
