NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Century 21 is reopening its flagship store in the Financial District later this month.

The flagship store will reopen on May 16 at its home on 22 Cortland Street, a spokesperson confirmed to 1010 WINS.

The department store chain noted for its bargains on luxury items shuttered its 13 locations and filed for bankruptcy amid the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

"In our 60 year history, we have only closed our doors twice, once after the devastation of 9/11 and then again during the COVID-19 pandemic," said Raymond Gindi, Century 21's co-chief executive officer, in a statement last year announcing its planned return. "But like the true New Yorkers we are, we have persevered."

The store was supposed to reopen on April 25, but that got delayed, WABC-TV reported.
