NEW YORK (WCBS 880) – An SUV collided with a car and then careened into a 65-year-old man, killing him, in Brooklyn on Sunday, police said.

The deadly chain-reaction crash happened at West First Street and Avenue P in Gravesend around 10:15 a.m.

Police said a Cadillac SUV was traveling northbound on West First Street when it collided with a Hyundai Sonata traveling eastbound on Avenue P.

The impact caused the SUV to strike the man, who was crossing West First Street, police said.

The victim was rushed to Maimonides Medical Center but did not survive. He was later identified as Jun Jin Yang, of Manhattan.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing. No arrests have been reported.
