NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- Police on Wednesday identified the man suspected of shooting and injuring a subway rider during an argument on a moving train in SoHo late last month.
Marcos Cofresi, 30, is being sought in connection with the Jan. 28 shooting near the Canal Street subway station at Broadway.
The 34-year-old victim was on a southbound N train around 1 a.m. when he and another man, believed to be Cofresi, got into some sort of dispute.
As the train was approaching the Canal Street stop, Cofresi pulled a gun and shot the man twice, striking him once in the left arm and once in the torso, police said.
Cofresi, of Bushwick, fled the train with a woman at Canal Street, according to police.
EMS transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, where he was listed in stable condition. No other injuries were reported.
