NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD released surveillance images of a BMW driver who crashed into a 70-year-old man and sped off in Brooklyn.

Images posted Sunday by police show the dark-colored BMW sedan near the scene of the hit-and-run in Crown Heights last Wednesday night.

Police said the victim was crossing the street at Dean Street and Ralph Avenue around 8:30 p.m. when he was struck by the BMW.

The driver sped off and left the victim injured on the roadway, police said.

The victim was transported by EMS to Kings County Hospital with serious injuries.
