Crossing guard charged, threatened Queens landlord with fake gun for no-pet policy: report

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — An off-duty NYPD school crossing guard was arrested in Far Rockaway after a "landlord dispute," where she reportedly threatened the woman with a fake pistol over the building's no-pet policy.

Destiny Nunez, 21, was charged with menacing and criminal possession of a weapon after the incident, police said.

According to The New York Daily News, Nunez threatened the building's landlord, who lives in the building, with the fake pistol after an argument.

The owner then reportedly called the police, who searched the 21-year-old's apartment and found the fake gun.

The Daily News reports that Nunez is expected to be suspended from her role due to the arrest.
