NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A Bronx day care provider is alleged to have possessed multiple pornographic images of children, police said Monday as they seek the public's help for more possible victims.

Silfredo A. Castillo Martinez, 32, who ran the day care out of his Norwood apartment on Decatur Avenue near East Gun Hill Road has been charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child, according to police.
The Daily News reports that NYPD computer crime investigators suspected Castillo Martinez was making child porn since July 2011 with children from the center, and on their visit allegedly found a child who was 12 years old at the time in a video.
New York state records show Castillo Martinez was first licensed to run a day care out of his home in October 2019 and that his license was suspended on May 5. It also shows he had the capacity for 12 children between 6 weeks to 12 years old, along with four additional "school-aged children."
He was reportedly arrested on May 3 and is being held on a $300,000 bond or $100,000 cash bail.
